Haralson cities, county reach tentative tax agreement
It seems the Haralson County government and the government of the four cities in Haralson County have come to an agreement when it comes to how taxes will be levied against city and county residents and what services they will pay for.

DDA buys historic building, hopes to boost business
The Tallapoosa Downtown Development Authority has purchased a 67-year-old historical building at 38 West Alabama St. for the purpose of boosting the city’s retail business, according to DDA Chairman Tommy Allen of Allen’s Flowers and Gifts. City records list the sales price for the 2,450-square-foot structure at $34,000.

Haralson County SPLOST referendum raises questions
Legal experts suggest that the solution that the voters have been asked to approve will take away a full year’s revenue from the cities, to collect what everyone agrees to be an inadequate amount of money to solve the problem it is meant to address.
