Updated Bidding and Procurement Law Implementation

May 14, 2019  |  State Purchasing Division of the Department of Administrative Services
House Bill 322 was passed by the General Assembly during the 2019 Legislative Session making positive changes for cities in complying with state procurement law. HB 322 requires that any bid or proposal extended by a county, municipal corporation or local board of education for goods and services valued at $100,000 or more and any bid or proposal opportunity extended for public works subject to Chapter 91 of Title 36 of the O.C.G.A. be posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry (GPR), and advertised in conjunction with the official legal organ or other media outlet regularly utilized by the local governing authority. Please note, there will not be a charge for posting on the GPR.

The GPR is the state’s central bid registry established by the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-5-69. The GPR is managed by the State Purchasing Division (SPD) of DOAS.

If you would like to sign up to receive future communications directly from SPD regarding the implementation of HB 322, please email procurementhelp@doas.ga.gov.
