GMA has been named one of the Top Workplaces for 2018
in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC)
. GMA was ranked 36 among 75 small workplaces in Atlanta. This is the third year in a row GMA has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the AJC.
According to the AJC, a common theme resonates from employees of these 150 top companies. Employees said time and time again that there was a geniuine care from their employer and an investment in each and everyone of their employees.
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. More than 75 percent of GMA’s 80 employees participated in the survey. Of the 1,400 nominated companies, the AJC selected the top 150 for inclusion.
“It really is an honor to be selected because it’s based upon what employees say,” said GMA Executive Director Larry Hanson. “GMA really is a family and that shows in the survey results. When you love what you do, it shows. And GMA staff love working for the membership, which is illustrated in their day-to-day commitment to our membership
and the survey comments that showed GMA staff really feel their work serves the purpose of assisting city officials carry out their duties.”
GMA has been serving cities for more than 80 years, advocating on their behalf at the state Capitol, in Washington, D.C., and providing services and training to equip city officials with the tools they need to serve their cities.
