Georgia Humanities awards grants for cultural programs that bring together and strengthen communities through dialogue and shared experience.
Georgia Humanities supports the efforts of nonprofit organizations seeking to foster connections between people and ideas. Through a competitive process, grants are awarded to such cultural, civic, and educational entities as museums, libraries, universities, and historical societies for a range of projects, including walking tours, exhibitions, author talks, lecture series, and literary festivals.
Guidelines and Eligibility
Nonprofit organizations with 501 (c)-3 status are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $2,000 for humanities programs. Programs must involve at least one humanities scholar, bring the public together for discussion and exchange, and be free and open to the public.
