Fire Prevention & Safety Grants

Grantor: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Posted: February 1, 2018
Due: March 16, 2018

The Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grants are part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. The primary goal is to reduce injury and prevent death among high-risk populations.

FP&S Grants are offered to support projects in two activities:
  1. Fire Prevention and Safety Activity: FP&S Projects are designed to reach high-risk target groups and mitigate the incidence of death and injuries caused by
    fire and fire-related hazards.
  2. Firefighter Safety Research and Development Activity: R&D Projects are aimed at improving firefighter safety, health, or wellness through research and development that reduces firefighter fatalities and injuries.
