The purpose of the proposed legislation is to restrict the sale or transfer of legal firearms to any individual under review by the Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISA). Identifiable information of known or suspected terrorists must be appropriately shared with state agencies. Definitions of the terms terrorist (domestic and international), identifying information, known terrorist, and suspected terrorist, are outlined.
 
An individual may petition the judge of the probate court in their county of residence, or, the county where the transfer will take place authorization to receive a firearm for transfer or sale.
