HB 59 amends the current historic preservation tax credit law to remove language relating to tax credit caps of $5 million for any other individual certified structure and $10 million for projects that create 200 or more full-time permanent jobs or $5 million in annual payroll within two years of the placed in service date. This bill would also allow a taxpayer who has a fully executed written agreement for the purchase of a historic property to claim a tax credit, and allows increased flexibility in the selling and assigning of historic preservation tax credits for the tax payer.
