This legislation would amend state law to require appointees to boards or authorities which make policy, spend public funds, levy taxes or collects fees to be either United States citizens, legal permanent residents or an alien with lawful status. Such persons would also have to be either a Georgia resident, employed in Georgia or own an interest in a business in the state.
