Resources: bill text
This legislation would amend Georgia law which currently allows for the Department of Driver Services to consider any conviction of an offense in violation of Georgia laws for commercial drivers' licenses for purposes of disqualifying a person's commercial driver's license, commercial instruction permit, or commercial driving privilege. The proposed changes would allow the department to consider, for purposes of disqualifying such licenses and permits for any person, any conviction under Georgia law, not simply those related to the commercial drivers' license laws.
