November 1, 2017
In this recording, Katherine Moore, Sustainable Growth Program Director with the Georgia Conservancy, discusses why we should recognize school facilities as critical public infrastructure and how thoughtful planning of facility location and campus design is integral to overall community sustainability. She reviews current Georgia Department of Education school siting guidelines, state funding of school construction, EPA school siting guidelines, and the role of community values in school siting discussions.
