Georgia Government Communicators Hold Second Annual Conference

From August 11-12, GMA in partnership with ACCG held its 2nd Annual Govern­ment Communicators Conference at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. During this 2-day training, 30 government communicators representing both cities and counties learned from a number of presenters and participated in networking opportunities. Conference sessions included tips on effective social media prac­tices the importance of branding and trademarking for local government, an overview of Open Records and Open Meetings from GMA’s Rusi Patel and ways to best engage residents outside of social media with GovDelivery and similar tools. GovDelivery sponsored the conference.
