Compliance Auditing in Georgia Counties and Municipalities: New Edition

July 18, 2018  |  Carl Vinson Institute of Government
The Carl Vinson Institute of Government has published the 2019 edition of Compliance Auditing in Georgia Counties and Municipalities. This is the only guide written especially to help those responsible for conducting a specific local government audit.

Updated annually, the new edition is current through 2018 legislative changes and is available for free download, thanks to the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts. A legal summary of finance-related provisions in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated that affect cities and counties is followed by a comprehensive compliance checklist of questions. Also included are listings of required audit reports and relevant organizations.

For additional information, please contact Kris Krauza Sikes at the University of Georgia via email or phone (706-542-2857).
