Water & Wastes Digest is reporting an impending shortage of employees in the field of water/wastewater.

GMA Conducts Spring Listening Sessions - 4/29/2008

After a contentious legislative session, cities managed to come out of the 40 days of the Georgia General Assembly relatively unscathed. GMA began conducting spring listening sessions in mid-April and will continue through mid-May to update city officials about the 2008 session, but more importantly, to gather information from city officials about the concerns they have for the next year.

Cities Cope with Rising Fuel Costs - 4/28/2008

While citizens are dealing with rising gas prices, local governments are also coping with rising operating costs associated with fuel prices by adjusting budgets. Prices continue to set record highs with gas costing approximately $3.60 per gallon in Georgia and oil costing $120 per barrel.
