Local mayors show support for SPLOST
Most mayors of the Carroll County cities have expressed enthusiasm for a special purpose local option sales tax vote in the Nov. 5 election, to continue the current 1-cent levy which ends in March 2015.

Commission, cities reach LOST agreement
With a Dec. 31 deadline for a decision looming ever closer, The Carroll County Board of Commission Thursday approved a formula for dividing local option sales tax (LOST) funds that seems to satisfy most of the municipalities involved.
