Motel/hotel tax will increase
Pending the governor's signature, Cordele's hotel/motel tax will increase from 5 to 6% July 1. City Commissioners approved the second reading of the amended ordinance Tuesday night.

Officials begin process of increasing hotel/motel tax
City commissioners here approved a 1% increase in the hotel/motel tax during their Tuesday meeting. This extra money will be used to pay for bonds needed to fund the "Quiet Community" project.
