Resolution text:

"WHEREAS, in Georgia, private water systems provide an important resource in conjunction with public water systems for the provision of water and sewer services throughout this state; and

WHEREAS, many of Georgia's agricultural, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors rely on private water systems to provide their literal lifeblood; and

WHEREAS, the economy of this state depends in no small part upon the services provided by private water systems; and

WHEREAS, the House of Representatives should carefully evaluate all aspects of the operation of private water systems in this state.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: 

Creation of House study committee. There is created the Study Committee on Private Water Systems."
